Convince or Persuade

Итак, казалось бы, абсолютно взаимозаменяемые CONVINCE и PERSUADE имеют небольшую особенность, которая делает их совершенно разными. И это предлоги.

TO CONVINCE -- убеждать в чем-то, убеждать в правильности идеи или мнения. Он никак не связан с действиями, только с идеями и мыслями.

"For example, you might be convinced that fishing is fun. Or convinced that the sun is the center of our solar system."

То есть, я дословно убеждена, ЧТО что-то происходит, существует --> to convince / be convinced THAT.

Либо, я убеждена / убеждаю В чем-то , тогда --> to convince someone OF something

А что у нас с PERSUADE ? А это уже, как раз, убедить собеседника (или себя) что-то сделать, совершить некое действие --> to persuade someone TO do something
